Black Forest Cake Without Oven

Black Forest cake consists of chocolate sponge layers soaked with cherry syrup, filled and covered with whipped cream frosting. This is a building-on recipe. you will have to make the Chocolate Cake a day before. click hereCover it with a cling film and freeze it. Freezing the cake makes it easy to do the icing. You can use either tinned cherries or glazed cherries. If you are using tinned cherries drain all the extra syrup and use that syrup to soak the cake. I used glazed cherries. In order to make cherry syrup, I cooked the cherries with some water and sugar. Then I strained it and used it in the filling.

For decorating the black forest cake, I used a 1M tip and piped swirls. I also grated some dark chocolate using a vegetable peeler and used it for garnishing.

Ingredients
  • Chocolate Cake
  • glazed cherries ½ cup
  • Sugar 3 tbsp
  • Water 1 cup
  • Whipped cream 4 cups
  • for garnishing:
  • grated Dark chocolate
  • cherries
Instructions
  1. In a saucepan, add the cherries, sugar, and water. Cook for 5 mins.
  2. Allow it to cool down completely.
  3. Place a cake board on the turntable. Add a little bit of cream so that the cake sticks to the cake board.
  4. Place the first layer. soak it with cherry syrup. spread the whipped cream. followed by the chopped cherries.
  5. repeat the same process for the other two layers.
  6. cover the sides and top with cream.
  7. Using a 1M tip pipe some swirls and place a cherry on top.
  8. Garnish the top and sides of the cake with grated chocolate.
  9. Refrigerate for at least 1 hour before serving.
