Homemade Instant Mawa | Khoya

Mawa or Khoya is used in a lot of Indian sweets and Indian gravies. Traditional method of making mawa can be very time consuming. This is instant way of making mawa. You can use this Homemade Instant Mawa in any recipe that calls for mawa. I have made made sweets using both traditional mawa as well as instant mawa. I didn’t find any difference in the taste.

you need to use Full fat milk powder. I have used Nido brand. Please do not use dairy whitener.

Ingredients
  • Full fat milk powder 1 cup
  • Milk ! cup
  • Ghee 1 tbsp
Instructions
  1. Heat milk and ghee.
  2. when it comes to a boil, lower the flame and add mik powder little at a time and mix well.
  3. Cook on medium until it leaves the sides of the pan.
  4. Let it cool down completely.
