Chicken Rasheela

Chicken Rasheela is a very tasty dish. It is a unique dish. I love trying recipes which are a little different. This is one such recipe which I tried a couple of days back for dinner. It tasted best when it was hot. I made changes to the original recipe and made it according to my taste. I hope you all like it.

As always I pressure cooked the chicken separately and used. I do that to save some cooking time. This also ensures that the chicken is cooked nicely. U have to marinate the chicken for at least 3 to 4 hours for best results.

Ingredients
  • Chicken 1 kg
  • Onion Paste ¾ cup
  • Tomato 1 large
  • Ginger Paste 1 Tbsp
  • Garlic Paste 1 Tbsp
  • Chilli Powder 1 Tbsp
  • Pepper powder 1 Tsp
  • Garam Masala Powder 1 Tsp
  • Coriander seeds Powder 1 Tbsp
  • Cumin seeds Powder 1 Tsp
  • Curd ½ Cup
  • Milk ¼ cup
  • Eggs 3
  • Oil 5 Tbsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Coriander leaves for garnish
Instructions
  1. In a bowl add Onion paste, Ginger Garlic paste, Chilli Powder, Salt.
  2. Add the Chicken pieces and marinate for at least 3 to 4 hours.
  3. Pressure cook the marinated chicken for up to 2 whistles.
  4. Heat oil in a pot.
  5. Add the cooked chicken pieces and fry for a couple of minutes.
  6. Next, add all the spice powders i.e Coriander powder, Cumin powder, Garam masala Powder, and fry for 2 mins. Add the chicken stock to prevent it from burning.
  7. Now add the curd and chopped Tomatoes. Cook until the tomatoes turn soft.
  8. Add the pepper powder, chopped coriander leaves and mix well.
  9. In a small bowl add the eggs, Milk and a pinch of salt and beat it lightly.
  10. Pour it on top of the chicken to fill all the gaps.
  11. Cover and cook till the egg gets cooked.
  12. Garnish with some more Chopped coriander leaves

Heat oil in a pot.

Add the cooked chicken pieces and fry for a couple of minutes.

Next, add all the spice powders i.e Coriander powder, Cumin powder, Garam masala Powder, and fry for 2 mins. Add the chicken stock to prevent it from burning.

Now add the curd,

Add in chopped Tomatoes. Cook until the tomatoes turn soft.

Finally, add chopped coriander leaves and mix well.

In a small bowl add the eggs, Milk and a pinch of salt and beat it lightly.

Pour it on top of the chicken to fill all the gaps. Cover and cook till the egg gets cooked.
